Catastrophic fire danger rating

Cann River P-12 College has been identified as being in one of the highest fire risk categories.

Our school will be closed on a day forecast as Catastrophic fire danger rating in East Gippsland Fire district. This means if any part of the East Gippsland Fire District, is forecast as Catastrophic, we will close.

Parents will be contacted on these occasions.

Note: The school building is a neighbourhood safer place in case of fire emergencies: in this case the school is staffed by police, red cross and the CFA.
